"
What a fun time I had! Signed up for an 8 mile hike in S.F. The group was fun & very diverse. Well organized and started on time! Great leadership. I appreciate the creativity of the activities that have been planned--dog walking to a winery, horseback riding. The variety is AWESOME! No sales pressure. Looking forward to my next adventure. I have already told 6 friends!

"I've been in some other social clubs and Adventures in Common is much more professionally organized and the people I've met are very friendly and cool. The club is a great way to see and experience new places and activities in the Bay Area and meet lots of great people. Love it!"

"This club is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I need to get out of the office and get a better social life and now I can - and I don't have to plan a thing - I just show up and have fun. I can't wait to try so many of these activities and meet fun new people who like to do things on the weekends!"

Dear Adventures in Common Members:
We are extremely sad to tell you that Adventures in Common has closed. We started Adventures in Common with a dream; a dream of creating an amazing social adventures community, making it successful, and then taking it national and international. We were well on our way.
We even had made a deal with local WeWork locations to do events in their space. The goal was to start in San Francisco and then expand with them across the country. Our dream was so close.
Unfortunately, in December, WeWork corporate (a company valued at $20B) announced that they had bought Meetup for a reported $200M. Meetups will now be held in all 250+ of WeWork locations. The local WeWork team we had been dealing with was not previously aware of this pending deal. They are wonderful people and it is a pleasure to be working with them. We were just late to the party.
On one hand it validated our idea, that there is a need for a national social club with clubhouses to hold events as well as outside adventures. On the other hand, it made it next to impossible for us to go national. The money required to go against a competitor of that magnitude is just too much, and difficult to raise.
It was an amazing ride. In just 8 months we gained almost 1000 members and hosted over 200 events. We created many friendships and even a few romantic relationships. We changed a few people’s lives.
Our event staff, led by Taylor Brown, was phenomenal. I could not have asked for a better team, nor a leader like Taylor. If your team is looking for some real added value, or you know someone who is, please get in contact, and I’ll put you in touch with Taylor. She will be one of the best employee’s you have ever had.
